Good rowing technique is essential for a fast boat. Easily and accurately set marking points for the perfect catch angle. The Catch Angle Markers are attached to the gunwale. Get the most out of your training and further improve your rowing technique!
Catch Angle Markers are small, lightweight marking “antennas” that attach to the boat’s gunwale to make the catch angle visible and measurable. Placing them at strategic points helps rowers and coaches improve the catch and bring more consistency to the stroke.
The Catch Angle Markers can be firmly clamped to the gunwale using a screw insert, which can be tightened with a flathead screwdriver.
The marker can be slid down when the boat is in the rack, but thanks to the rubber tip, it won’t damage the boat below – even if left at working height.
Thanks to the antenna’s height adjustability, the rubber tip can be set to the desired hand height at the catch, ensuring perfect alignment with technical training goals.
The current version is initially designed for sweep rowing shells, as in sculling boats the hands often fall outside the gunwale during the catch. A version that can be mounted on the rigger for sculling use is currently in development.
