Key rigging parameters
- Span – the distance between oarlocks; defines leverage and blade arc through the water.
- Oarlock height – affects hand clearance and blade depth during the drive.
- Pitch – the fore-aft and lateral angle of the pin determining blade entry and release.
- Rigger position – the longitudinal placement relative to seat and foot stretcher influences balance and catch timing.
- Topstay / brace – stabilises the wing and maintains alignment under load.
