Carbon wing rigger (C)
Empacher C-rigger (carbon wing rigger) – stiff, light and low-maintenance.
The C-rigger is Empacher’s carbon wing rigger for modern C-type sculling and sweep shells with wing-mounting on the gunwale flange. The stiff carbon wing provides a stable platform with minimal torsion and a very direct power transfer — ideal for racing shells as well as club boats.

The C-rigger is engineered as a lightweight, extremely stiff wing rigger. The carbon wing absorbs blade loads cleanly and keeps the oarlock position precise under pressure, so the boat runs smoothly even in rough conditions.
Construction
- Carbon wing – stiff, lightweight and mounted directly on the gunwale flange.
- C-type interface – bolt pattern and flange fit matched to Empacher C-hulls.
- Compatible oarlocks & pins – fits modern oarlocks and rowing pins.

Installation & use
- When ordering, always specify hull serial number, seat number (counted from the bow) and port/starboard side.
- Ensure gunwale flange and bolt holes are clean and burr-free before mounting.
- Fit the wing with the correct C-type bolt set and tighten the nuts finger-tight first to avoid tension in the flange.
- After installation, regularly check the oarlock pin, bushings and interface for play.
