Rowing seat under carriages
Rowing seat under-carriages – the aluminium frame that keeps your seat running smooth, straight and stable.
The under-carriage is the core of every ball-bearing rowing seat. It determines how freely the wheels run, how well the seat tracks on the slides and how stable you sit. At Eurow you’ll find high-quality under-carriages with options in wheel size, track width and seat height – suitable for club shells, racing shells and touring boats.
What you’ll find here
- Complete aluminium under-carriages – with wheels selected to match your boat’s slides.
- Choice of wheel diameters – 32 mm, 34 mm or 36.5 mm (36.5 mm only for medium/high side frames).
- Different side frames – low, medium or high, depending on your preferred seat height.
- Multiple track widths – to fit most international boat brands.
Important notes
- Seat height options – distance from underside of seat to underside of wheel: 34, 40 or 48 mm.
- Check slide depth – some brands (e.g. Martinoli) require larger wheels because of deeper rail profiles.
- Free-running wheels – after assembly, check that every wheel spins freely without side-play.

Mounting & use
The best way to check alignment is in the boat: make sure the frame sits cleanly on the slides, the wheels run straight and the seat hook falls neatly in the middle of the slide groove. If you prefer, Eurow can supply all under-carriages fully assembled, including wheels and axles.
