The classic Empacher K-rigger is still the standard in many clubs. Light, strong and easy to maintain, with an exact fit on Empacher K-hulls and a reliable geometry for day-to-day training and racing.
K-rigger: the classic Empacher setup
The K-type rigger frame has been used for decades in both sculling and sweep boats. The construction is stiff and light, yet easy to service, and gives a direct, stable transfer of power through the stroke.

Use & mounting
- Make sure rib fittings and slots are clean and free of burrs before mounting.
- Tighten rib bolts evenly and start hand-tight to avoid crushing the rib.
- Regularly check oarlocks, pins and sleeves for play and wear.
